Call to Order. Meeting convened in the Wardens Office Building (WOB), Bldg 2648 at 1830.

Minutes: Approval of December 2009 minutes as published.

Our website will also provide you with fishing and hunting news, pictures, history of Club events such as the 2009 Green head Shoot, February Vandenberg Pig Hunt, deer harvest, and small game statistics from the 2008 hunting season, 2009-2010 Camp Pendleton Hunting Regulations, as well as, other useful information and contacts.

Report of Secretary/Treasurer:

  • Bank Balance: $3,508.62 as of the 30 December 2009.
  • Total member count is 126: 54 active duty, 38 retired military, 2 DOD employees, and 32 civilians.

Base Game Warden’s Report:

  • Approximately 85 Deer were harvested during the 2009 Camp Pendleton Deer season.
  • Time to renew your Fishing License.
  • New Camping Permits will be available in February.

Committee Reports

  • Archery
    • A Range Safety Course will be presented by Ryan McMurtrey every Tuesday @ 1130 at the Game Warden’s Office Bldg. 2648. This class is a prerequisite for the use of the Archery Range.

  • Hunting Committee – Nothing new to report
    • Pala Indian Range near the Pala Indian Casino is a great place to sight in rifles. Membership-$50/year
    • Vandenberg Wild Pig Hunt scheduled for 10 -14 February 2010.
    • Greenhead Duck Club Military Appreciation and Family Day on Saturday 20 February. BBQ, Trap, Skeet, Live Duck Hunt; bring wives and family. More to follow.
  • Fishing Committee – Nothing new to report

Old Business

  • Regulations
    • The upgraded security system is now in place for Civilian club members not affiliated with Camp Pendleton.. Any Civilian Sportsman’s Club members who don’t have a permanent base access credential should contact Glen Simmons (949) 492 4722 to be entered into the Pendleton Security Database so they can gain regular access (you can come on the base 3 times in any 45 day period without this security clearance).

The Club is actively looking for a member to fill the position of Secretary/Treasurer. For anyone interested please contact me at the below email/phone for additional information regarding the position responsibilities.
