RIFLE DEER HUNTERS: Dates and times for the Mandatory Deer Hunting Safety Briefs are listed below.

• October 1st, Wednesday at 1730
• October 4th Saturday at 1000
• October 8th Wednesday at 1730
• Make-up Brief is October 11th at 1000
• Make-up Brief also during the Sportsman’s Club meeting on: October 14, 2008 at 1830 held at the Warden’s office (bldg 2648)

The safety briefs will be held at the bleachers located within the REC Branch compound. Additional parking is located in the areas just before and after entering through our main gate entrance. Area Preference Sheets (APS) for the deer lottery will be handed out following the safety briefs. Hunting permits sales and deer tag exchanges will be provided prior to and after the safety briefs.

• Deer Rifle opening day lottery check-out is Oct 18th at 0400
• Deer Rifle opening day potluck check out is Oct 18th at 0500

Hunter Education Courses are given at the Game Wardens office (Building 2648) free of charge. Anyone can attend. You must sign up for the class -- (760) 725-3360. Bring a lunch with you. Classes will be held at the REC Branch on the following dates:

• September 20th at 0830 - All Day
• October 18th at 0830 - All Day
• November 15th at 0830 - All Day
